3 Paid-Internships provided by SHG Lyon

In each of the 3-years curriculum, students undergo a paid internship over a 6-month period.   

The remuneration depends on the country where the restaurant is located and may include accommodation and meals. In any case,  internship opportunities offered by SHG Lyon are always in French Fine Dining Restaurants for this FG Bachelor. Transportation expenses to the internship destination are usually born by students.

During and after each internship, students are evaluated and graded by the restaurant. Following each internship, students will write a report as evidence that he/she has fully mastered the internship's objective.

ADMISSIONS & FEES

Requirements

  • Fill in the application form (click below to: SHG Application Form)
  • Motivation letter (at least 500 words)
  • Interview (via Skype or Face to Face with one of our admission officers)
  • High School Degree (Baccalauréat / Maturité)

Fees

  • Tuitions fee: EUR 9'750 / Year or EUR 870 / Month (Monthly payments only for local students having a French Bank Account and French Guarantors)
  • Administration fee: EUR 250 / Year


Important: All fees must only be paid to the school bank account directly, never to agents, neither to Rep. Offices. 

R.O.I (Return On Investment)

Cost of 3.5 years in Lyon (incl. 6 months extra):

  • Tuition Fees (for non-UE Citizens): 3 years x 9'750 eur = 29'250 eur
  • Administration: 3 x 250 eur = 750 eur
  • Accommodation Cost: 42 x 280 eur = 11'760 eur
  • Food Cost: 42 x 180 eur = 7'560 eur
  • Other Expenses (Transportation, extra, insurance): 42 x 125 eur = 5'250 eur

TOTAL COST FOR 3.5 YEARS = 54'570 eur


Revenue during 3.5 years in Lyon:

  • Paid-Internships: 535 eur x 18 = 9'630 eur
  • Part-Time Job: 25 hours x 4.5 weeks x 10 eur x 35 months (the first month is not counted) = 39'375 eur
  • Extra  Part-Time Job after graduation (at least 6 months is allowed after  bachelor): 25 hours x 4.5 weeks x 10 eur x 6 months = 6'750 eur
  • Tips: 80 eur x 41 months = 3'280 eur

TOTAL REVENUE FOR 3.5 YEARS = 59'035 eur
